Welcome Friend Foundation

Every young person deserves a place where they belong.

We help build the long-term financial foundation for Rainbow Camp®, affirming community programs, and a permanent home for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and allied youth.

Our priority

Build a future for Rainbow Camp® that lasts.

Rainbow Camp® has created a place where 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth can experience friendship, leadership, joy, and belonging. Welcome Friend Foundation helps secure the support needed to protect that experience and build what comes next.

Rainbow Camp permanent home campaign: Help build the home many of us never had. A place to belong. A home for all. Built with love.
Permanent Home Campaign

A permanent home for belonging.

Rainbow Camp® needs a safe, stable, long-term home where 2SLGBTQ+ and allied youth can gather, build friendships, develop leadership, and experience belonging year after year. Our longer-term vision is a welcoming place that can also support connection, learning, and community across generations.

The Foundation is helping connect donors, foundations, businesses, and community partners with the opportunity to make that future possible.

Why the Foundation exists

Rainbow Camp is what people know. The Foundation helps secure its future.

Welcome Friend Foundation helps turn generosity into long-term charitable capacity — supporting programs today while building the relationships, resources, and infrastructure needed for tomorrow.

Our work is about continuity.

A permanent home can create stability for camp, expand future opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and create a lasting place of belonging in Northern Ontario.

The larger vision

Belonging across generations.

Rainbow Camp® is at the heart of our work, but our vision reaches beyond summer camp. We are working toward a permanent, year-round home where 2SLGBTQ+ youth, adults, older adults, allies, and community partners can gather, connect, learn from one another, and build community across generations.

A place shaped by the energy of young people, the experience of older generations, and a shared commitment to creating communities where everyone can belong.

There is more than one way to build the future.
